Tomorrow, May 13, 2026, E’Mani Green’s motion to dismiss is scheduled for an in-person hearing at 2:00 p.m. in Mecklenburg County Superior Court.

Khalil Cooke’s motion to stay the case and push the dispute toward Mexico has now been moved to July 22, 2026.

Shanquella’s mother is fighting both efforts. Her legal team argues E’Mani had notice of the lawsuit and should not be dismissed over technical service arguments. They also argue Mexico is not a fair or practical forum because there is no pending litigation there and the case has strong ties to North Carolina.
