As many may know July 19th 2024 the life of Shane Morris was taken by Joshua Jackson. On that night not only did he murder Shane he shot another person. After a long 18 days of running and hiding which his name nor picture was ever broadcasted on KPLC, the police were tipped off that he was hiding locally at an address of his paternal family members. The police did a big scene to get him to surrender which took longer than it should have August 5th 2024. JJ family members and friends taunted the family of Shane Morris. If the family posted pictures of Shane jj family would inbox them and threaten them. The mother of Shane was made aware that JJ would be going in front of a grand jury to be indicted on September 19th 2024. She never heard anything else after that. The family was tipped off that JJ was being released which led the family to want answers of how was it possible he walk away with not any charge after he took the life of someone and shot another person as well. Shane was shot 3-4 times in the back and also in the head. The other victim was also shot in the back. The case had numerous video footage, witness, and people saying that Shane walked away and was basically hunted down. J was released September 20th at 3am. Shane nor the other victims family was notified of this. I'm not sure if this has ever occurred in Lake Charles before but something doesn't add up. This petition is for any friends or family members of Shane to sign and stand in the gap for him. How can a murderer be released with not any charge and no bond? Please help us bring more light to this situation. Shane leaves behind 3 children Shamyiah, Arabella, and Amari(Shane Jr.) . The family of Shane would be honored for everyone to sign and not let this be the ending result. If you were there that night please make a statement or go speak with the detectives on the case.
