The Issue

JUSTICE FOR SETH ECCLES 🕊️ | LET’S MAKE SETH’S LAW A REALITY.

This petition is about more than body camera footage. It’s about awareness, transparency, accountability, and making sure Seth’s name stands for something bigger than the tragedy that took his life.

We understand that the investigation is ongoing and that the release of certain evidence may affect the fairness of a future trial. This is not about interfering with the legal process. It’s about starting a conversation about transparency, the rights of families seeking answers, and what protections should exist when a life is lost during an encounter with law enforcement.

We want to turn our grief into action. We want Seth’s story to reach beyond the people who knew and loved him. We want to help create change that can protect other families from having to navigate these same painful questions without clear guidance or support.

That’s why we want to start the movement for SETH’S LAW.

A movement for transparency.
A movement for accountability.
A movement for families seeking answers.
A movement to turn tragedy into change.

Seth was somebody’s son. Somebody’s family. Somebody deeply loved. His name deserves to live on for more than the way his life ended.

Please sign and share this petition. Help us spread awareness, bring attention to the need for meaningful reform, and start building something that can make a difference for families in the future.

We will continue to speak his name. We will continue to seek answers. And we will continue working toward change.

🕊️ JUSTICE FOR SETH ECCLES. LET’S BUILD SETH’S LAW.

Responded
“Good morning, We are attaching the release that was made available to the news media previously. The officer involved in the incident has been terminated from the DeKalb County Police Department. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) is conducting the criminal investigation, and the officer has been criminally charged in connection with the incident. Because this remains an open and active criminal investigation, the body-worn camera footage cannot be released at this time.
