Justice For Sebastian Eduardo Vazquez Carpio

The Issue

I am reaching out to make you aware of the upcoming hearing on September 14, 2022 for the individual charged in the death of my only child/son, Sebastian Eduardo Vazquez Carpio.

This individual is currently in a Texas Juvenile Justice Detention Center and will soon age out as he is about to turn 19 years old.  He will be brought back to Bexar County for a Transfer/Release hearing to determine if he is eligible for Adult Parole for the remainder term of his sentence (20 years for Manslaughter and 25 years for Aggravated Robbery; both sentences to run concurrently) or if he should be transferred to adult prison.  This individual spent one year in the Bexar County Juvenile Detention Center awaiting his sentencing hearing and then was transferred to a juvenile correctional facility where he spent 11 MONTHS going through what the State calls “Rehabilitation Program”.

The State of Texas and its local representatives have stated that juveniles who commit certain crimes and offenses should be given a second opportunity and reinstated back into our community. I would agree with rehabilitation for those that are deserving of this but not this individual.  He and all others who voluntary and involuntary assisted in the heinous crime against my Sebastian do not deserve a second opportunity or consideration for adult parole.

This individual took my Sebastian’s life and kept his body for more than 5 hours in the back yard of his home.  He had plenty of time to do what was morally and ethically correct, instead he choose to proceed with further gruesome actions.  This individual went out and victimize another victim by committing an aggravated assault robbery.  This individual stole a vehicle at gun point and then came back to his home and placed my Sebastian’s body in the trunk of the stolen vehicle and drove him to a location where Sebastian’s body and vehicle were incinerated.

As the mother of Sebastian Eduardo Vazquez Carpio, surviving victim of such heinous crime, I am kindly asking for your help in signing this petition to ensure this individual TJJD # 1287000 is not granted adult parole for his remaining sentence and should be transferred to the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (Adult Prison) to serve the maximum amount of time for his remaining sentence. Eleven months of “REHABILITATION” is not sufficient.

Please help a surviving victim of such heinous crime keep this individual out of our community and transferred to an Adult Prison.  Individuals such as this person and all other juveniles committing crimes and robberies need to be held accountable for their actions and The State of Texas needs to reevaluate and change current juvenile laws to enforce greater sentences.

Should you wish to be present and show your support, the Transfer/Release hearing will be held on:

Date: Wednesday, September 14 2022

Time: 9:00 a.m.

Place: 289TH District Court located inside the Frank M. Tejeda Juvenile Detention Center

Address: 235 E. Mitchell, San Antonio, Texas 78210
