The Issue

SARA’S LAW

I am appealing for a full life sentence for the people who tortured and murdered 10 year old Sara Sharif. She suffered brutal violence, beaten with objects, strangled, tied up, burnt and bitten. They covered her head with a home-made hood made of plastic bags and parcel tape in the weeks before her death. Sara was found with a "gaping" head wound which was among 71 injuries found on her poor body.

This beautiful young child was tortured for many months physically and mentally, without love or care from ANYONE. The pain that she endured is too unbearable to even think of, committed by the people that were meant to love and protect Sara the most. Instead, this poor child suffered with unbearable physical injuries and mental torture.

Sara deserves real justice. The law has to change to give beautiful young Sara and the many other children that have been tortured, abused and killed by their guardians or by their primary carers, the justice they deserve.

As a parent myself, I know that children need to be protected and loved. Those people who abuse their position as primary carers need to be held accountable and punished to life in prison. LIFE SHOULD BE LIFE for such evil monsters like this. Sara deserves real justice for the torture that she endured. With your help we need 100,000 names to be put forward to Parliament, with the aim of creating a new law, Sara’s Law, where life in prison means life for this treatment toward children.

Sara's killers need to be held to account, this was no accident, they did not care how much torture or harm they caused Sara mentally or physically. For many months they covered her broken body and when they killed her they fled to Pakistan. With this new law in place abusers would be punished with a full life sentence for taking a child's life.

We need the signatures only to get this in front of Parliament, if you wish to donate to the change charity please do as this is separate to the petition we have created.
