Justice for Renesmay — Protect Pennsylvania’s Abused Children Now

Justice for Renesmay — Protect Pennsylvania’s Abused Children Now
The Issue
What happened to 9-year-old Renesmay Eutsey is every child’s worst nightmare — and it should never have happened.
Renesmay was found dead in the Youghiogheny River after reportedly enduring horrific abuse in a home where violence and starvation were routine. Now, disturbing new charges reveal that other children in the same home — as young as 2 — were allegedly beaten, choked, denied food, and had their teeth pulled out with pliers. A doctor described the abuse as "torture." One 6-year-old boy weighed just 24 pounds — the size of a toddler — and may not survive refeeding.
All of this suffering happened under the radar. Despite multiple children being trapped in that house of horror, no adult outside the home stepped in time to save Renesmay’s life.
We can’t bring her back — but we can fight like hell to protect the children still out there suffering in silence.
We demand immediate action from Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, Secretary of Human Services Dr. Val Arkoosh, and Fayette County Children & Youth Services to launch a full, transparent review into how this tragedy was allowed to unfold and whether any system failures played a role. We also call for stronger statewide oversight of child welfare cases, mandatory wellness checks for homeschooling households, and faster intervention procedures when children show signs of abuse.
These children were isolated, uneducated, and left without basic medical care — and it cost Renesmay her life. This is not just about one evil household. It’s about making sure the system never turns a blind eye to abuse again.
Don’t let this story fade from the headlines without change. Sign this petition to demand accountability, protection, and justice for Renesmay — and for every vulnerable child still waiting for someone to speak up.
