Unless you’ve been through it, you have no idea how broken the American justice system truly is. I do. My name is Quan Jordan, and for the past 20 years, I have been living a nightmare—wrongfully convicted for crimes I did not commit.

I am one of the 77% of wrongfully convicted people whose case was built on misidentification and false eyewitness testimony. After viewing a photo lineup where my photo was prominent displayed, the victim stated “ it’s none of them.”  Prosecutors later showed her my face outside of a lineup, in his office and only then did she name me. There was no physical evidence tying me to the crime. Yet, I was sentenced to life. The appeals process has been a sham. Every court has refused to hear the facts, dismissing my case on procedural technicalities instead of addressing the truth. But the truth is still here, waiting to be uncovered.

There is DNA evidence that could prove my innocence—a hand towel the real perpetrator used, which has never been tested. The state refuses to test it, knowing it could clear my name. I am fighting relentlessly to prove my innocence, but I need help
