Justice for Puss Puss

The Issue

I am a passionate animal lover and a guardian to multiple feline companions. To hear that a fellow cat parent is suffering due to the theft and abuse of their beloved pet Puss Puss 19 years old, deaf and blind stolen from the owners garden in Scunthorpe, strikes a painful chord in my heart. It's high time for us to raise our voices against such heinous animal cruelty.

An 11 year old girl did this ....

The vet stated they were horrified by the X-ray results which were:

Broken femur

Dislocated hip

Damage to her pelvis

Large hernia

The vet went on to say, the only thing holding Puss Puss’s inner organs inside was her skin.

She was sadly put to sleep due to the massive trauma and injuries inflicted by the girl.

The theft and abuse of animals, especially domestic pets, is a growing concern in our society. According to the Animal Welfare (Sentencing and Recognition of Sentience) Bill [source: UK Parliament Handbook], there were 1,678 prosecutions for animal cruelty in the UK in 2019, including outrageous acts of violence such as this one. This number only reflects reported cases, and the actual frequency is likely much higher. Furthermore, the continuous wave of animal thefts within our communities has seen a surge of 250% amidst the pandemic in 2020, and such brutal cases have emphasized the dire necessity for stricter laws and heavier penalties [source: Dogs Trust Report].

We can no longer sit back and let our furry friends suffer in the hands of such perpetrators. Together, we can put pressure on our local authorities to investigate the theft and abuse of Puss Puss, bring the culprits to light, and ensure they face the necessary legal consequences for their actions.

Please join me in demanding justice for Puss Puss. Sign the petition. Let's show that we will not tolerate animal cruelty in Scunthorpe, or anywhere else for that matter.
