Justice for Pinterest Users: Stop Unfair Account Suspensions And Bring Back Accounts!

STOP WRONGFUL PINTEREST ACCOUNT SUSPENSIONS!
STOP WRONGFUL PINTEREST ACCOUNT SUSPENSIONS!
Recently, Pinterest has been permanently suspending accounts for no valid reason at all. Accounts with no violations, no activity, or even years of trusted use, have been LOST due to pinterest’s HORRIBLE bot management. People are losing collections they’ve had for over a decade, businesses are being shut down, creators are losing 100K+ followers overnight, and many are left in emotional distress without any help or human support.
Pinterest has become lazy, unaccountable, and increasingly bot-run. Features are being removed, updates are making the app UGLIER and annoying, and user voices are completely ignored. The recent Instagram comment sections under Pinterest’s own posts are full of desperate people begging for their accounts back and getting no response.
This petition isn’t just for me, it’s for everyone who’s been wrongfully suspended, silenced, and pushed off a platform they once loved. We're aiming for:
- Bring back wrongly suspended accounts.
- Improve human support and transparency.
- STOP punishing loyal users for no reason.
Let’s hold them accountable and get our voices heard.
SOME COMMENTS FROM USER'S ON PINTEREST
"This is very depressing and frustrating for me. Yesterday I was very anxious when I saw they deactivated my account. And last night I wasn't able to sleep. I have tens of thousands of pins saved in my profile and it's been with me for more than a decade now, and I consider using Pinterest as my therapy. This is what happened before I was permanently suspended: I have been saving pins to my various boards and most of the pins are anime and pokemon-related. But I began noticing lately since late January that the AI/bot has been targeting me and sending me hits in my email that they removed these pins for violating community guidelines on adult content. There were only 3-4 violations since late January, I appealed them but only one got reinstated. I noticed the AI/bot just recently became aggressive in cracking down on these posts. Because of this, I decided to deactivate my account after each time I use my Pinterest, thinking that I might be spared from more hits. But I was wrong, just yesterday when I attempted to log in, I was told I got suspended/deactivated. I sent an appeal twice explaining the situation, but they just sent me this morning an email that they have permanently suspended my account." - NyaohaSuperFan on reddit
"It's heartbreaking how Pinterest treats its loyal users. I did nothing wrong, followed all the rules, and yet my account was taken away without explanation. I trusted this platform and now I feel completely ignored and helpless. It's so disappointing to see a company I loved act like this" - cookityumm on instagram
"I would be inconsolable if my pinterest account got taken away"- anna on tiktok
We, the Pinterest community, are coming together to speak out against a growing problem: unfair and unexplained permanent suspensions of user accounts.
People from all over the world, artists, students, business owners, moodboard curators, mental health survivors, aesthetic lovers, and dreamers, have had their Pinterest accounts suddenly suspended. No warning. No specific reason. No real human to speak to. And no chance to defend themselves.
Pinterest claims to support creativity and community, but instead, users are being silenced without cause or recourse. Appeals go unanswered. Emails get auto-replies. Years of personal collections, inspiration, memories, and work vanish in an instant.
This is not just about one person. This is about the countless others who have been:
- Wrongfully suspended without violating any rules
- Left without answers or support during appeals
- Emotionally distressed by the loss of their personal creations
- Punished with permanent bans over minor or alleged violations
We demand Pinterest implement real change:
- Fair, human-led account reviews before permanent bans.
- Clear, specific explanations with evidence for any account action.
- A transparent and accessible appeal process.
- Restoration of wrongly banned accounts.
- Accountability from Pinterest’s Trust & Safety Team.
Pinterest was built on inspiration and expression, but what message does it send when the platform removes people without cause or care?
A horrible impression.
Pinterest has permanently suspended thousands of accounts without warning, proper investigation, or clear explanation. We demand fairness, transparency, and the reinstatement of accounts wrongly removed. This petition is for everyone who has lost their creative space due to an unjust ban.
