Phoenix Cerenil was murdered by her boyfriend, Charles R. Karn. He attempted to strangle her on June 15, 2023 and she was pronounced dead on June 17, 2023. 

At the time of arrest, Karn was booked on charges of felony aggravated assault with serious bodily injury, strangulation of a member of household and domestic battery. 

The Cerenil family victim advocate has been absent through the court proceedings. No one has kept the Cerenils updated on what is even happening. THE DA AND VICTIM ADVOCATE ARE NEGLIGENT AND NEED TO BE REPLACED. Also, the judge gave preferential treatment to the white Karn family, while the Hispanic Cerenil family were disallowed from speaking, thereby exhibiting racism. THIS JUDGE IS BIASED AND NEEDS TO RECUSE HERSELF IMMEDIATELY.
