The photo above is the last picture I took of my sister when we dropped her off for her freshman year at Penn State in August 2020. I took it from a distance so she did not know that I was capturing the moment at that time. Little did we know of course that a little over a year later the school would become the last place that she would be seen alive. We are currently dealing with a rollercoaster of emotions right now as we watch other students get ready to head back to campus. Something feels off about us not doing our usual Target runs or receiving Amazon packages full of supplies for college. Even though I know that she is gone forever, I am still waiting for my sister to text me asking me to come over for dinner and if I have time....also staying over to pack up all of her clothes.

We do not send children to college for that to be where they take their last breaths. We are forever heartbroken to know that the joy we felt dropping her off at school two years ago is now replaced with so much sorrow.

We hope that as students return to campus they remain safe and look out for each other. We do not want anyone to ever go through what we are going through right now. We are still here in our corner fighting for justice for her as we get through the rough waves of emotion that we have felt throughout the summer. As always, we want to thank everyone for their continued support. We are still striving for our goal of reaching 5,000 supporters and we are close to that goal right now. Please continue to sign and share her petition. Thank you!
