It is with a somber heart that I reach out to all of you this evening. For the first time today, I was not able to see my sister, Justine at a family birthday dinner or an at-home Justine-style dance party for her birthday. Today would have been her 20th birthday. Instead, my family and I went to a mass dedicated to her for her birthday, went to the cemetery to bring her roses, and hosted a remembrance walk. After 19 years of never missing her birthday, this is certainly not what we expected for her 20th birthday.

I want to sincerely thank all the people who came out today for her remembrance walk. Your words of comfort and your kindness helped us get through Justine's birthday today. https://photos.app.goo.gl/Yn224wR7KvZiRKiF9

We want the DA in Centre County PA, Penn State University, and the State College police department to understand that to us Justine was not just another number or another dead college student. She matters not only to her family but to all those who love her. You all have important women in your lives and from the perspective of us talking to you from one human to another, we want to ask you what would you do if something like this happened to one of your daughters, a friend's daughter, or any other important woman in your life? We as a family are all in when it comes to having her case reopened. We are not going anywhere. So basically we are committed and have accepted that this fight for justice will take time.

If anyone would like to reach out to us privately about my sister's case, we can be reached via email (justice4justinegross@gmail.com). As always I want to thank you all for your continued support. Please continue to sign and share this petition as we strive for our next goal of 5,000 supporters.
