On March 5, 2023, the children, family and friends of Nicole M. Bullock, a vibrant 29-year-old mother of five boys, faced their worst nightmare. Nicole was violently murdered by her child's father Rodney Crawford, leaving a deep void in the lives of her five young children and loved ones. Her tragic death was not an isolated incident but the culmination of years of relentless stalking and abuse by Rodney Crawford.

For over two years, Rodney Crawford tormented Nicole, stalking her, repeatedly attacking her and ultimately beating her to death. Despite her efforts to protect herself by going to the police and, having secured an order of protection, Nicole’s cries for safety went unheeded. Rodney has a history of domestic violence, with prior charges not only against Nicole but also against another woman in New Jersey back in 2011. It is imperative that Rodney Crawford is held accountable for his actions to the fullest extent of the law to prevent any further harm and deliver justice to Nicole's family.

We call upon the Durham County courts in North Carolina to sentence Rodney Crawford to life in prison. This sentence would not only bring a semblance of justice to Nicole's grieving family but also serve as a stern warning to offenders who believe they can evade justice. Domestic violence cannot and should not be tolerated in our community.
