We need Chief Harold Medina to get assistance on our son’s case!

Officers were dispatched to the area of Washington Street NE and Hilton Avenue NE for a report of a shooting.When officers arrived, they found three people who had died from their injuries. One other person was transported to a hospital for treatment and has been released.

Albuquerque police said an altercation happened at the house party between Jordan Johnson and two other people: Marcos Perez and Nicholas Ortega. Johnson then pulled out a firearm and shot and killed Perez, according to police.Police said that all the people involved in the shooting died.

On June 4, 2023 our boys Nicholas Ortega and Marcos Perez attended a birthday party in Albuquerque, New Mexico and never returned. That night three boys lost their lives. We are not being told the truth about our son's case. On June 16, 2023 the Weekly Homicide Update showed that two of the homicides had been solved. We reached out to the detectives after reading the information on-line and were told the case was still opened and that the information that we read on cabq.gov was not issued by their department. We know that their is another individual who has bragged on social media concerning the case and no arrest have been made. We have gone back and forth with the detectives on several occasions, and what they tell me and what they tell another mother never match up. The last interaction Nicholas Ortega's mom had with the detective was June 3, 2024 a year from the day we saw our son's alive, he was requesting that she come into the station by herself, she was told tha the case  was going to the district attorneys office. During our visits with the detective we were told that they were still waiting on ballistics which doesn't make sense for the case to go to the district attorneys office.  I reached out to the Sergeant and was told the case was still open and that they didn't want Nicholas's mom to speak on a podcast. Our lives have been changed forever, we feel we have lost faith in our  justice system. Our boys didn't know that on June 3, 2023 that would be their last day here on earth, we will not stop fighting for our boys until we get justice.  Please sign our petition to get the case solved, so justice can be severed.
