The Issue

Nala Rose and Taz were taken to Minneapolis Animal Control on September 6, 2024, by a man who stole them. He falsely claimed that the dogs were strays. Despite knowing that the dogs were not stray, Minneapolis Animal Control (MACC) processed them under a stray intake. My dogs, Nala Rose and Taz, are

microchipped, and records clearly list me as their owner.

I was only given a single call and voicemail, which is not a reasonable attempt to contact me regarding my beloved dogs. This oversight and lack of due diligence have resulted in a severe violation of my rights as a pet owner. For months, I have been denied access to crucial paperwork, keeping me from uncovering Minneapolis Animal Control's gross errors in handling this situation.

Nala Rose and Taz are not just animals; they are a significant part of my family. Their absence has caused immense distress and emotional suffering. It's unfathomable to imagine their current condition or the uncertainty of their future.

We urgently need Minneapolis Animal Control to acknowledge their mistake and return my dogs safely back to me. Let us stand for the rights of pet owners in Minneapolis to ensure that this negligence doesn't happen again to another family. Humane treatment and proper protocol must be the standard.

Please join me in demanding justice for Nala Rose and Taz. Your signature could make all the difference in bringing them home. Sign the petition to urge Minneapolis Animal Control to return Nala Rose and Taz to their rightful owner today.
