Justice for Molly – Demand Investigation and Accountability for Dominique "Molly" Nez

Justice for Molly – Demand Investigation and Accountability for Dominique "Molly" Nez

The Issue

Dominique "Molly Marie" Nez, a young Navajo woman, was found dead under suspicious and violent circumstances.

Dominique’s family and community deserve answers, transparency, and justice. Her death is not just a private tragedy—it is part of a much larger crisis affecting Indigenous women and girls across the United States.

We respectfully urge the Navajo Nation and its leadership to:

  • Ensure that Dominique’s case remains open and actively investigated
  • Provide transparent communication to the family and community
  • Coordinate with federal agencies when necessary under the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Persons (MMIP)initiative and the Not Invisible Act

We also call upon the U.S. Department of Justice, including the Office of Tribal Justice and MMIP Task Force, to:

  • Support and, if needed, oversee further investigation
  • Provide victim services and legal assistance to Dominique’s family
  • Honor its commitment to justice for Native women under federal protection mandates

Dominique was a beloved daughter, sister, friend, and community member. Her life mattered. Her death must not be ignored.

With deep respect for Navajo sovereignty and law, we offer this petition in solidarity—not to impose, but to uplift the family’s cry for truth.

We stand with Dominique. We stand with her family. We stand for justice.
