Oakley’s supporters,
THANK YOU! Yesterday, exactly two and a half years after Oakley Carlson was discovered missing, the petition requesting that Governor Inslee conduct an immediate, secondary, independent agency review of Oakley’s Washington State Department of Children, Youth, and Families (WA DCYF) case reached 5,000 signatures strong! We are grateful and humbled by your support and look forward to the day that this petition is presented to the Governor’s office.
Our next goal is 7,500 signatures and we would love to reach that by the end of June. You can help by emailing family and friends to share the petition (see a sample email that you can cut and paste below) as well as sharing the link to the petition across your social media platforms (see a sample social media post you can cut and paste below). We share Oakley’s petition on social media on Thursdays each week and we would love to have you join us!

Dear Family and Friends,
Oakley Carlson is a 7-year-old child missing from Oakville, Washington. Tragically, she went missing in 2021 while in the care of her biological parents. At the time of Oakley’s disappearance, the Washington State Department of Children, Youth, and Families (WA DCYF) was involved with her family. WA DCYF was alerted to concerns regarding Oakley’s safety by multiple community members however nothing was done to keep Oakley safe before she went missing. Oakley’s biological parents remain suspects in her disappearance and they refuse to cooperate in the investigation.
I feel strongly that WA DCYF failed Oakley Carlson and I am sharing this petition in support of seeking answers for Oakley by requesting that Governor Jay Inslee conduct an immediate, secondary, independent agency review of Oakley Carlson’s WA DCYF case. Will you help be a voice for Oakley too?
