Call on Donegal coroner Dr Denis McCauley to convene an inquest into Mary Boyle’s death

Mary Boyle is Ireland’s longest and youngest missing person. She was six when she vanised on her grandparents’ remote farm in Donegal on March 18, 1977. She was in the company of her uncle Gerry Gallagher at the time. Senior gardai have alleged a politician directed them not to consider certain people suspects for her disappearance. There are allegations that garda corruption prevented a prosecution. An inquest would ensure that certain people can be questioned about the case independently for the first time. Dr McCauley has refused to convene an inquest despite a plea from Mary's identical twin Ann. Public interest is a central reason why a coroner must hold an inquest in the event of a suspicious death. Please sign this petition to support our call for an inquest in the hope that justice can be done for Mary and her remains found and buried with dignity.
