This a story about Marius, who I owned until November 2021, when I had so surrender him due to facing financial difficulties. He went to Hampshire Spirit Horse Rescue who have been amazing. 
Marius stayed there until January 2022, when the rescue found him a lovely new home ( so they thought). I d just like to point out Marius was a healthy fun spirited old ( still lightly ridden) chap.
The rescue followed all the correct procedures and did a 3 months check where everything was in order. At the 6 month check however it was a different story. Marius was found in a barren field almost staved to death. The vet called it worst case of neglect they have ever seen. After running blood tests on him ( back at the rescue, no underlying health issues were found. His condition was purely down to starvation and neglect.  Marius gave up his fight 4 days after arriving back at the rescue and was put to sleep.

The RSPCA is currently not interested; the  people who did this need to be brought to justice. Please sign this petition so no animal has to endure the torture in the hand of these people ever again.
