I want to sincerely thank everyone who supported and voted for me in the Face of Halloween competition. I made it almost all the way to the end, but unfortunately, the contest isn’t truly based on creativity, makeup, costumes, or participation. The outcome depends on how many votes are purchased, not on actual talent or effort.
I narrowly missed the top spot in my group and didn’t advance to the Quarter-Finals. However, as a runner-up, I qualified for the Reanimator Round — a second chance to compete for the title of Face of Halloween. There were times I was in first place, only to drop to second within minutes. It became clear that votes were being bought to climb positions at the last moment.
Some friends even offered to buy extra votes for me, but I refused. I didn’t want to win a contest based on how much money my supporters spent. Unfortunately, that’s what this competition has turned into — not a celebration of creativity, but a fundraising scheme disguised as a competition.
While I’m disappointed and don’t plan to participate again, I’m still so grateful to everyone who took the time to vote and support me. Your encouragement meant the world, and I truly appreciate you all.
