Loren Bedward maintains his innocence after being wrongfully charged with crimes he did not commit. Loren Bedward and his family hope you will support this effort to enhance his chances of receiving justice and getting not only his name back but most importantly his life.

In 2020 Loren was arrested for a crime he did not commit. Loren Bedward is facing 3 counts of domestic assault which carry 15 years, 1 count of stalking which carries up to 2 years, 1 count of sexual assault which carries a life sentence and 1 count of lewd and lascivious conduct which carries up to 5 years. Prosecutors tried to charge Mr. Bedward with 2 counts of burglary but later had to drop due to "victim" (LV) admitting to letting Mr. bedward into her residence. In this case you will see that LV was scamming two men and in a desperate attempt to secure her position with another man's finances she set up Mr. Bedward during a very vulnerable time in his life. In America anyone can be changed for crimes with zero evidence then the burden falls on the defendant and attorney to provide proof of innocence. Vermont is a state with no grand jury which means if you are charged with 6 counts you must fight all counts individually. Mr. Bedward is the real victim in this case and we need everyone to stand with him through this process so that another innocent man does not get railroaded by our corrupt system. Prosecutors are aware LV is lying but they want a conviction and will stop at nothing to get it even if it means lying and ignoring proof that has been placed right in front of their face.

Mr. Bedward reconnected with LV a woman he has known for 18 years. Nothing sexual had ever occured until approximately 10 months before the alleged crime took placed. LV was also seeing another man for a year and a half who played a sugar daddy role in her life (buys cars, gives money and takes care of her). This man Allen is in his 60's, had a wife, children and was very successful owning a dealership and numerous properties. Mr. Bedward and LV had an agreement that their relationship would be nothing more than sexual due to her having other current relationships. LV told Mr. Bedward that she planned to stop dealing with Allen within the next 6 months and that never happened. LV was scamming at least 2 men and being very deceitful. I must add at this time in Mr. Bedward's life he was very vulnerable suffering the loss of his father and siblings and he was looking for support but fell victim to LV's evil ways. LV has no regard for human life other than what she can get out of others.

On August 19th Mr. Bedward was out at a bar, intoxicated and enjoying the night when another man there brought it to his attention he too was having sexual relations with LV. Already suffering mentally from grief Mr. Bedward took this betrayal to heart as anyone else in this situation would he tried to contact LV to address the information he just found out but she would not answer. After several attempts and feeling hurt/frustrated Mr. Bedward sent a 30 second video to LV stating he was on his way and to open the door or there would be problems. Once arrived at LV's residence LV opened the door letting Mr. Bedward in (automatically discrediting the 2 counts of burglary). When confronted LV denied that she had been seeing other men and then the two ate food and spent the remainder of the night together. Until 6.30am when LV woke Mr. Bedward up stating that Allen her sugar daddy was on his way. Mr. Bedward then stated to LV that he was going to tell Allen that she was living a double life. Mr. Bedward then left the residence. 

August 24th comes. Keep in mind this is days after their last night together. This is also Mr. Bedward's birthday. Not hearing from LV all day on his birthday was not like her so he decided to go by her residence at 11pm after hanging out with friends. Mr. Bedward knocked on the window and then all of a sudden there were cops everywhere so not knowing what was going on Mr. Bedward ran. Mr. Bedward then called LV to ask if she had just set him up and she handed the phone to the officer who then stated there was a warrant for his arrest in regards to the August 19th incident. Mr. Bedward wait a 4-5 hours then turns himself in thinking it will be something simple like trespassing. Loren arrives with $500 thinking to get bail but that is when officers tell him he is not going anywhere. 

There are many flaws in LV story. Just to name a few Mr. Bedward left the residence at 6:30am but LV waited until noon to report the incidence because she was meeting with Allen who "knew nothing of Mr. bedward". This is not true as Allen had previously hired an investigator to follow LV and this is how he found out she was seeing other men just as she had 9 months prior the last time Allen caught her. LV also claimed that Allen was coming from out of state and that he had only stopped by for 10 minutes but that is just not realistic who would only stop by for 10 minutes after coming from another state. LV also said that she took a rape kit but did not. Everything was intact and no sign of struggle. LV claimed that for 5 hours she was screaming at the top of her lungs as she was sexually assaulted. Keep in mind this is between the hours of 1:30am-6:30am a very quiet time. LV's 4 year old child was in the residence sound asleep, there was 1 neighbor downstairs and 2 upstairs but no one heard a sound. Legal council did sound tests at the residence between the hours of 1:30am-6:30am with colleague and investigators onside while Mr. Bedward's attorney was positioned outside. The test found that noise could be clearly and loudly heard across the neighborhood thus making LV statement unrealistic.

Key points- When you are telling the truth the truth remains the same but in this case LV is being coached by her victim's advocate. LV had much motive for getting Mr. Bedward locked away. When Allen discovered her infidelity he threatened to take her red Lexus he purchased for her. LV could not let this happen so she set Mr. Bedward up. Mr. Bedward has taken a polygraph and passed. Yet prosecutors still want to railroad him so offered him a plea 8 months later of 5-20. Mr. Bedward is innocent and is fighting for his life. Trial will be August 22nd-26th where the polygraph will not be admitted into court but will be available for any and all supporters to see the truth for themselves. LV is yet to take a polygraph. This is a classic case of his story vs hers yet all the proof is on Mr. Bedward's side as he is the only one telling the truth. 

In addition Mr. Bedward could not even get paperwork from the public defender so he hired a private attorney. As of now we have fundraisers to help pay the remainder of fees including the cost of trial. Any and all support is greatly appreciated. The damage is done now it is up to all of Mr. Bedward's supporters, friends and family to stand together and see to it that he can continue his life out here, free where he belongs. Currently Mr. Bedward works full time driving trucks long hours to try and keep up with  his attorney and trail fees. Mr. Bedward had goals of financial independence but his life came crashing down all because LV was playing both sides. Mr. Bedward has a heart of gold and does not deserve to spend his life in prison. Mr. Bedward is currently out on a 50k bail. 

"A passage that riveted my attention was a quote from Peter Neufeld and Barry C. Scheck, prominent criminal attorneys and co-founders of the innocence project that seek to release those falsely imprisoned.

They stated, "Every year since 1989, in about 25 percent of the sexual assault cases referred to the FBI where results could be obtained, the primary suspect has Bern excluded by forensic DNA testing. Specifically, FBI officials report that out if roughly 10,000 sexual assault cases since 1989, about 2,000 tests have been inconclusive, about 2,000 tests have excluded the primary suspect and about 6,000 have 'matched' or included the primary suspect."

The authors continued, "these percentages have remained consistent for 7 years, and the National Institute of Justice's informal survey of private laboratories reveals a striking similar 26 percent exclusion rate.""
