Justice for Kyle Osborne & all victims of drinking & driving
The Issue
JUSTICE FOR KYLE! and all victims of drinking & driving!
No one should be able to cause the death of another person from drinking & driving and have their record expunged because they completed DUI classes, shown remorse, paid restitution, wants to move on in life!
On November 25, 2019, Kyle Osborne (19 yrs old) was a in a car accident caused by an individual who was drinking & driving. He suffered a severe traumatic brain injury and was in a vegetative state for 6 months, then was in a minimally conscious state for another 8 months. He slowly started to make some progress over the next year, however, on June, 14, 2022, Kyle passed away from complications of his injuries. Ultimately, Kyle died from the injuries he sustained from the accident caused by a driver who was drinking & driving.
The driver plead guilty to 2 Felony DUI’s and was sentenced to 3 yrs probation.
Now, less than 4 years after this tragic and completely preventable accident, and less than 14 months after Kyle’s death, the driver has filed a motion to have his PROBATION ENDED 6 months early and his FELONIES reduced to misdemeanors; citing his good behavior, remorse and him wishing to “put this entire incident behind him and progress further in life”.
Kyle Osborne died at the age of 22 because of the reckless choice the driver made to drink & drive and now this man wants to “PUT THIS ENTIRE INCIDENT BEHIND HIM”?!
Kyle never got to graduate college, Kyle did not get to be the Best Man at his brothers wedding, Kyle will never get married, have children or get to experience the joys of life. Kyle can not put this incident behind him and his family & friends have to live with this tragic loss for the rest of their lives.
Again, no one should be able to cause the death of another person and have his record expunged because he completed DUI classes, shown remorse, paid restitution, wants to move on!
