In Victoria, Australia, a koala was brutally abused on King Street in Koroit on March 26, 2026. This shocking act has horrified not only the local community but also wildlife and koala lovers worldwide.

Wildlife rescuers acted immediately, but the koala had to be euthanized to be released from tremendous injuries

Since animal protection laws in Victoria are very weak, we call on the Victorian Government and local authorities to:

• Fully investigate and prosecute the responsible individual to the maximum extent of the law!
• Strengthen penalties for animal cruelty to prevent future tragedies.
• Support wildlife rescue organizations and protect vulnerable native species like koalas.
• Every signature sends a strong message: Victoria must act decisively to protect its wildlife and hold cruel perpetrators accountable.
