Residents of the Sandy Hook neighborhood of Columbus, Indiana;
I must ask you; now, that your neighbor, the Dardis’ family, has virtually gotten away with trapping and dumping a kitten in an unfamiliar area, over 5 miles away from its home, and leaving the little thing to fend for itself, What is stopping them from doing it again?
Abandonment of an animal is a crime in Indiana IC 35-46-3-7.
Officials may not choose to enforce it.
It is my understanding that their target was another cat in the neighborhood.
To the owner of that cat, you dodged a bullet, you better thank your lucky stars. Instead of Aspen, Autumn’s baby, it could be your baby dumped out in that rugged area to defend for itself!!!
Supposedly they did not know what cat they had.
So they didn’t even take the time or effort to see if it was, not just Autumn’s cat ,but any of your cats, the residents of Sandy Hook.
They preferred to just throw that baby away like a piece of trash.
How much regard does that show for you, their neighbors of Sandy Hook, or regard for your pets ?
Do you know what that ride must have been like for that little baby, horribly confused riding and riding all that way and being handled by folks who obviously don’t care ?
Will the Dardis’ family do something even worse to the animal the next time they deal with one ? Where does it stop ?
Surely some of you saw Autumn out in your neighborhood calling and looking for Aspen.
Why was Breanna Dardis suggesting to Autumn at that time that she, Breanna saw cats around the neighborhood, all the while knowing that they, the Dardis’, had dumped a cat over 5 miles away? ANYONE?
It would benefit the residents of this neighborhood to support Autumn in bringing this to justice.
Don’t think it can’t come to you…Today it is Autumn with her heart ripped out without her baby Aspen…..Tomorrow it could be you and your baby…..
Residents of the Sandy Hook neighborhood, do you honestly feel safe for your pets with this current situation ?
