Two years of life was all my baby brother got. He was a toddler full of life, happiness, and love when he had his life unfairly taken from him. He was an innocent child with an entire life ahead. Him not getting the justice he deserves has left a void in me that nothing can ever fill. 

Unfortunately, this is an inactive case. His case was closed because they didn’t have enough evidence. However, now that it’s been over a year and a half, I feel they can find enough evidence for him to get justice. 

Just in the U.S. alone more than 550,000 children are known to be abused. That’s 8 children out of every 1,000. More than 5 children die daily from child abuse and neglect. Given these statistics, it's clear that more needs to be done to protect these children. 

However, never did I imagine my brother would be 1 of those 5 that was taken from child abuse. I’m hoping to help work towards holding the attackers accountable, getting justice for the innocent lives taken, and preventing similar incidents from happening in the future.

A major part of this battle for me is getting justice for my little brother, to ensure that his story is known, that he gets the justice he deserves, and I get closure.
