March 10, 2017, Joseph Perez was murdered by the Fresno PD, Fresno sheriffs Department and American ambulance.

These entities restrained Joseph Perez, they had him face down into hot sandy gravel for more than 15 minutes. An E.M.T puts a backboard on his back and As Joseph struggles to breathe an E.M.T instructed an officer to sit on Joseph's back while the other entities tied him up.

Joseph Perez yelled several times "I can't breathe!" Even when Joseph stopped responding and his body went limp, they did nothing All they did was continue to tie his lifeless body for more than 8 minutes..

The Police chief tells the media his death was due to drug toxification however the coroner declared his death as a homicide due to asphyxiation (suffocation).

As if Joseph's death wasn't hard enough for the family, the police follow and harass the family, find ridiculous reasons to impound their cars. They go as far as arresting Joseph's son, who was only15 year old son at the time, blaming him for his father's death.

But the family fought hard for the truth and got the policecam footage released Police Cam footage

The Perez family has been fighting for justice in federal court for the past 4 years, but 3 weeks ago a federal judge dismissed their case due to “Qualified Immunity.”

"Qualified immunity shields officials from liability while on the job" Which in this case, it let's officials get away with murder! Many have tried to change this doctrine but it is difficult. But we won't give up!
