Yesterday was an important day for our bill—and for every family who has been impacted by a hit-and-run. We officially passed both the House Criminal Justice Subcommittee and the Senate’s first step. Even more encouraging, several lawmakers were so moved by what they heard that they added their names as sponsors during the process. That kind of response matters. It means this issue is being seen and taken seriously. This is not the finish line—but it is real progress. Next, the bill moves to the Judiciary Committee. We’re continuing to walk it forward, step by step, with the same goal we’ve had from the beginning: accountability, protection, and meaningful change. If you’ve signed, shared, or supported this effort in any way—thank you. Truly. This momentum is not happening in a vacuum. We’ll keep going. And we’ll keep you updated every step of the way. —Kim Webb On behalf of families who deserve better
