Presque Isle County Michigan Prosecutor Rick Steiger has filed a civil lawsuit against the H.U.N.T. Police Officers he said brought a bogus Doctor Shopping charge against him in 2011. A Michigan District Court in Alpena found there was no probable cause for the arrest. The suit basically claims several of Steiger's constitutional rights were violated by unlawful activities of the Police officers during the investigation. The Police officer defendants not only committed unlawful acts, but that the investigation was started out of malice. The case against Jeremiah Dewey starting in 2005 was used by the Judge and the Prosecuting Attorney to get back at the Dewey family for the 2004 lawsuit filed against the unlawful hanging of Nathan Dewey. Lies, stories, documentation and evidence was tampered or altered in this case. If any violations of the constitution were made it happened in the case against Jeremiah.
