On Thursday 11/06/2025, Our family dog, Jaxson “Jax” Wayde Collier, an imperial shitzhu, was viciously mawled and killed while outside on a leash in his own yard and attempting to go back inside our home, by my Aunts Neighbors dog, a pitbull that is 3 times the size of Jax. (we are leaving the owners name out for legality purposes at this time). Barren county animal control did NOTHING!!! This dog has had multiple instances of aggression towards our dogs in the past and have been told to keep their dog out of our yard. There have also been 3 lawsuits against this person in the past over this dogs aggressive behavior. WHY HAS THIS DOG NOT BEEN PUT DOWN??? We want JUSTICE FOR JAX!!! We want to be able to know that our other dogs are safe to go outside and be in their OWN yard without the threat of being killed!! This dog now has the taste of blood in its mouth and i have no doubt that he will come for our other dogs next if something isn’t done about this!  We have had to endure the screams of our Jax in his final moments and they will forever be etched in our brains.
