JUSTICE FOR JAHEIM MCMILLAN
The Issue
A 15 year old black child, was sadly shot and killed by Mississippi police in Harrison county, on October 6th, 2022. His name was Jaheim McMillan. Tragedy struck after police responded to a 911 call reporting that there were several "black men" riding around waving guns. The teens fled from the vehicle after they were pulled over at a local Family Dollar. Jaheim went into a store for his safety, most likely fearing that his life would be taken from him. After a while he came out of the store, not posing a single threat to the police, hands up, and was shot in his head. The officer proceeded to HANDCUFF him, and refused to call paramedics and get him proper treatment. These officers DID NOT, and I repeat, DID NOT, follow proper protocol. Time after time again we see cases like this happen almost every month in America. How many black lives do we have to lose in order for things to change? How many grieving families is it going to take for police brutality to stop? Please aid us in helping Jaheim and his family receive the justice they deserve. The cops involved deserve their badges taken from them and time in prison.
