Petition Summary:

We are petitioning and demanding for the immediate safety of Ms Irene Emmanuel Uyo Okeh and her 2 children aged 6 and 8 who are based in Abia State, Nigeria. They have been made homeless and are currently on the run due to the threat of life.

We request for Mr Emmanuel Uyo Okeh to cease and desist with immediate effect his harassment of Ms Irene Emmanuel Uyo Okeh and their children.

Mr Emmanuel Uyo Okeh, who is currently based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, separated from Ms Irene 4 years ago and has failed in fatherly duties in regards to the children that they share together. He has posed as a threat to them which has caused them to be constantly moving from one state to another in order to escape his harassment.

Since their separation, Mr Okeh has not been active in the life of his children - He does not communicate with them even though his children have made countless attempt to reach out to him, he does not visit them and to make matters worst, since their separation, he only sends N30,000 per month towards their upkeep in this dire economy. Ms Irene has been solely responsible for their upkeep, their school fees, medical bills, and daily maintenance.

Mr Emmanuel Uyo Okeh has been harassing Ms Irene continuously, and it has gotten to the point that her life and that of her family are in danger.

On the 18th of March 2025, Ms Irene was lured and initially arrest at Ndiegoro Police Station in Aba, Asia state before she was transferred to Zone 9 Police Headquarters in Umuahia arrested based on the false allegations laid on her by Mr Emmanuel Uyo Okeh that she kidnapped her own children and had used them for trafficking and rituals.

It was later discovered that Mr Emmanuel Uyo Okeh had gone behind Ms Irene's back to obtain a court order in her absence for her arrest.

Mr Emmanuel Uyo Okeh has allegedly bribed the Nigerian Police and even had them track Ms Irene for 2 weeks before they eventually arrested her.

He has spread numerous lies and allegations against Ms Irene in the bid to spoil her name and reputation in the society even claiming that she is using her online presence as a social media influencer in order to solicit and use her children to beg for funds which is also a lie.

He does not have any remorse towards the mother of his children and also his children - The fact that he's comfortable with the fact that his kids are watching their mother go through all this suffering at the hands of their father just to intentionally spite her shows that he does not love his children.

Why is this Important?

This petition is important as, at the current moment, Ms Irene is under mental and physical distress. She has been unlawfully locked up and has now gone into hiding. Her life is in grave danger, and her mental health is being affected.

Mr Emmanuel Uyo Okeh has since remarried. However, he has refused to leave Ms Irene move on with her life.

Our Demands:

We are demanding that Mr Emmanuel Uyo Okeh should cease and desist his harassment and bullying against Ms Irene and their children, and an investigation should be conducted into the wrongful arrest of Ms Irene Emmanuel Uyo Okeh.

We need all the support possible for Ms Irene Emmanuel Uyo Okeh and her children to rebuild their lives in a safe environment and give her children a better future.
