In November 2022, a $3.5 million settlement check arrived, a lifeline meant to support Billy's immense medical needs and his new, difficult reality. Instead, it became the motive for a shocking act of theft.

Without Billy’s full awareness or consent, Bonnie obtained **durable power of attorney** and proceeded to systematically empty his bank account. This was not a mistake; it was a calculated and devastating act of greed. Over the course of five months, Billy's family began a spending spree with his settlement money. They purchased a $586,000 house, established annuity accounts, and transferred large sums to themselves, leaving Billy penniless.

While Billy is left living in squalor—without basic necessities like running water, heat, or even a rodent-free environment—his mother and brother live in comfort and luxury from his stolen funds. To cover their tracks, Bonnie has cruelly slandered Billy's name. She intentionally provokes him, exploiting his TBI-related emotional vulnerabilities, and then has him arrested, hoping to have him locked away while she solidifies her control over his stolen assets.
