George Floyd was killed in Minneapolis, Minnesota on Monday May 25, 2020 after one of the four officers involved kneeled into George’s neck. George was taken to the nearby hospital where he died from his injuries. According to Minneapolis Police Chief Medaria Arradondo, the four officers are now “former employees.”  According to Minnesota governor Tim Walz “It was the right call.”

Taking the badges away from the officers responsible is a start, but that doesn’t mean everything is ok now.

That is not good enough. This man was killed on camera without any intervention. Then these officers  get to go home to their families like nothing happened. The kneeling officer and the other three officers involved need to be taken to trial immediately. 

This has happened to so many black men, women and children in America to the point where this country is just one huge death trap. We need to step up and be heard on a consistent basis. A one-time protest won’t cut it. We need to make it clear that we will not stand for any of this.
