JUSTICE FOR FEMTHRIFT AND HER FRIEND WHO WERE ALLEGEDLY SEXUALLY ABUSED BY SHAWNY WRIGHT

The Issue

Two young women in Lagos, Nigeria, were lured under the false promise of a modeling opportunity and subjected to a horrifying attack. This matter has been formally reported to the police.

The survivors report that a man named Shawny Wright contacted Femthrift via social media, claiming to offer a legitimate modeling job. Femthrift attended the location with her friend. Instead of a professional opportunity, they were met with violence.

According to their report, they were:

Locked inside the premises against their will, physically restrained and tied up, threatened with a knife, sexually assaulted repeatedly and placed in fear for their lives.

After the assault, their phones were seized. Private accounts, including Snapchat, were accessed. Intimate images were taken, and their family contact details were obtained. They were threatened with public exposure and humiliation if they spoke out or reported the crime.

This case includes:

Sexual assault

Armed threat and intimidation

Threat to life

Unlawful confinement

Criminal coercion

Blackmail

Digital exploitation

Impersonation.

No woman seeking a legitimate opportunity should face violence, intimidation, or blackmail. This is a crime against human dignity, safety, and rights.

We call on:

The Nigerian Police Force

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police

The Lagos State Ministry of Justice

International human rights organizations

Global digital safety advocates

To ensure:

Immediate and thorough investigation

Protection of the survivors from retaliation

Preservation and forensic analysis of digital evidence

Arrest and prosecution of anyone responsible

Transparent updates to the public.

We urge the global community to sign this petition, share it widely, and demand swift justice.

Silence protects abusers.

Accountability protects women.

Justice must not be delayed. Thank you.
