Back in March of 2023, the court case of the torture, rape and killing of Ellie the cat began in Freehold, NJ. Over a year later (during which the defendant has been in county jail), and numerous court dates, it is finally time for sentencing on June 13, 2024.

Please sign the petition to request justice for Ellie. The severity of this case and the 5 year plea agreement should stand as proof to the public that harming animals will have real consequences.

The petition asks that the 5 year prison sentence that the prosecution and defense agreed upon not be shortened and that the sentence should include no parole or early release. Sentencing should include a permanent ban on the defendant having future possession or custody of any animal. The time the defendant served in county jail should NOT be deducted from his 5 year sentence.
