Justice for Elderly and Disabled Tenants Facing Mistreatment by Apartment Manager

Justice for Elderly and Disabled Tenants Facing Mistreatment by Apartment Manager
The Issue
The tenants of Cathedral Residences (Towers, Court, Townhouse & Terrace) Jacksonville, Fl are deeply concerned about the mistreatment of the elderly and disabled residents by the property manager. Instances of public embarrassment, verbal abuse through yelling, neglectful landlord behavior, including landlord-tenant violations, and falsification of documents have been reported.
The elderly and disabled members of our community deserve to live in an environment free from harassment and mistreatment. It is unacceptable that they are enduring humiliation and living in fear due to the actions of the apartment manager.
Despite tenants making diligent efforts to communicate their concerns to the corporate office, both through telephone interactions and written correspondences, their complaints have regrettably fallen on deaf ears, with no discernible resolution in sight. Despite multiple attempts to articulate the issues affecting their living conditions and overall satisfaction, the lack of responsiveness from the corporate entity has left tenants feeling disheartened and frustrated. The absence of a constructive response not only undermines the trust between the tenants and the management but also raises concerns about the efficacy of the company's mechanisms for addressing tenant grievances.
We urge the relevant authorities and regulatory bodies listed but not limited to: Carteret Management, Tampa Fl, North Tampa Housing Development Corp., Tampa, Fl, Aging True Community Senior Services, Jacksonville Fl (formerly known as Cathedral Foundation of Jacksonville) & U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Jacksonville FL office to thoroughly investigate these reported incidents, hold the manager accountable for their actions, and ensure the safety and well-being of all residents. Additionally, we demand strict adherence to landlord-tenant laws and regulations to prevent further abuse of power and ensure a safe living environment for all tenants.
In addition to the complaints of the tenants; within the last 6yrs there's been a persistent high employee turnover within the organization. This can be unequivocally attributed to a palpable lack of care and cooperation, and it has become noticeably tainted with a culture of condescension, where employees feel consistently undervalued and disrespected by those in positions of authority. Employees, the backbone of any successful company, have consistently voiced their concerns regarding the absence of supportive and collaborative managerial practices. The dearth of genuine interest in employee well-being and career development has had a profound impact on morale, job satisfaction, and overall engagement.
The lack of effective communication and cooperation from the management side has left employees feeling undervalued and unsupported, ultimately contributing to their decision to seek alternative employment opportunities.
Please sign this petition to support our cause in seeking justice and protection for the elderly and disabled individuals facing mistreatment in our community. Together, let's advocate for their rights and create a safer, more compassionate living space for all.
Thank you for standing with us in solidarity to address these grave concerns and ensure justice prevails for our vulnerable community members.
