Justice For Duke

Justice For Duke
The Issue
Euclid Animal Control (Ohio) found Duke on January 4, 2025. They found him inside a garage where he had obviously been for some time. Duke had no food, water, warmth or light. And he was chained- barely able to move. By the time rescue came Duke's body was giving up and he was seizing on that cold, hard floor. He was dying alone after having suffered intense and prolonged pain, and the misery of abandonment even tho his owners were nearby.
Euclid Pet Pals immediately stepped up and got Duke emergency medical care at Metropolitan Animal Hospital. But, despite their greatest efforts, it was decided that Duke was suffering too intensely and needed to be given peace and freedom from pain. He was euthanized.
Animal Control officers forwarded warrant requests to the Euclid Prosecutor’s Office on Jan. 6.
Duke deserves justice, and he deserves the dignity and decency he never once received in life-we can help give him that. Please join in requesting that the City of Euclid Prosecutor’s Office hold accountable whomever is responsible for Duke's agony and that they receive any applicable punishments to the maximum degree.
Help send a message that we cannot and will not tolerate such horrendous suffering. We are also sending a message that we recognize the fact that whomever did this to Duke can do this again to another vulnerable being, and that the likelihood of that is great. We also recognize that those capable of such cruelty can be a danger to any member of society.
Please sign and share.
Thank you
