David Lee Tovar was murdered by the San Jose police/gang task/ undercover cops dressed in normal clothing with automatic assault rifels. On the morning of January 21, 2021 David Tovar Jr. Was gunned down by multiple officers that he was running away from. They shot up 4 different apartments trying to shoot him. Some of those apartments had children inside that parents had to shove into closets to protect from the bullets coming into their dwelling. That's just the beginning of this tragedy that has changed the lives of many!!! If the reason that they were trying to apprehend David was because he was a suspect in a drive-by shooting. Than what do they deserve for shooting up 4 apartments and risking the lives of innocent children and others to gun down a person that they "think" had committed a felony and "believed" to be armed and Dangerous! Which he was not as they came to discover!! Everyone is entitled to THIER day in court, to prove THIER innocence! Sadly for David those undercover cops played the officer, prosecutor, judge and the executioner! Now after being shot multiple times David body was drug to a different spot where he was left to die, no cpr/ life resuscitation was offered to help save him, they than let the k9 chew on his already dying body as a form of torment. He was shot multiple times by multiple officers, in multiple places. He was an only child to his father, left behind 3 children and one unborn child. He was young 27 years old. Had his whole life ahead of him had he not of had it taken by the police. Is that our standard? Are we as a community, as tax payers, as mother's and father's, as leaders in our community. Are we going to say that it's ok to allow the people that have been chosen, trusted, and trained by our tax money to serve and protect our communities kill people based off of what they heard, think, or believe. Is it serving our community when you are putting innocent people's lives at risk trying to kill a person your not even sure 100% even did something wrong? What was the purpose in allowing a k9 to chew and mangle an already dying man? Was that fair? The accusations against Tovar and the actions of the police was there a difference in the two? Yes there was a difference the police are trained professionals that are supposed to apprehend not use deadly force unless deadly force is needed because there lives are at risk!! Which clearly they were not at risk because Mr. Tovar was not in possession of any type of weapon was shot in the back which is not even legal in an act of war!! Children witnessed this horrible murder there lives will never be the same! United we stand Divided we fall let's take a stand against police brutality and together be the voice for David and his loved ones, for his children, for his unborn child, for all the families that have lost their loved ones to police brutality it's time to take Stand why pay money and give weapons to people that aren't capable of handling people/situations any different than the streets do. It's time to raise the standard on how the police conduct themselves and sadly it was announced that the charges will not be filed against the officers responsible for David's death!!
