On Wednesday, September 21st, the National Pan-Hellenic Council and the Multicultural Greek Council at Texas Woman's University received notice that our greek life advisor, Darius Jones, had been unjustly terminated. Darius Jones has been the Greek Life advisor since the Fall of 2021. During his time at TWU, he has shifted the culture of Greek Life from disconnected to a close-knit Greek community. Darius made it his mission to revive greek life and bring us together. Anytime there was an event from a different council, he always encouraged us to attend and support them. All this being said, Darius was fired on the 21st due to one-sided opinions about his communication and intentions. The organizations within NPHC and MGC feel setback by losing a piece of our representation without warning. Less than 24 hours prior, Darius was attending events for NPHC week and attending meetings with MGC. We, the students of Texas Woman’s University, as members of the National Panhellenic Council and Multicultural Greek Council, are asking for change, and we will not be silenced.
