MY NAME IS DAVID ROBINSON II. I AM THE FATHER OF GEOLOGIST DANIEL CORNELIUS ROBINSON. 

I have been searching for my son since June 26, 2021; my son Daniel went missing from his job in the desert of Buckeye, AZ. on June 23, 2021. Since that time, I have organized my own, grassroots searches with the aid of volunteers who worked hard with me out there in that desert. In those searches, we have recovered the remains of other people out there in the Sonoran Desert. Also, I have organized a City search which I later refocused the concentration on spreading awareness, now making it a Flyer Distribution, and was able to get those flyers out to many cities and states. 

Because I'm a father and also because I am not satisfied with the performance of the local police department in charge of my son's case, I started conducting my investigation into what happened to my son and why he's missing. In that investigation, I have gained a lot of information and am now trying to get the forensics done on items and on the vehicle that wasn't done by that police department on the scene where Danie's Jeep Renegade was found.

It's been over 9 months and there has not been a change to the status of my son's case; the police department is still classifying it as a missing person case without considering foul play despite the evidence from day one that suggests it. As we know, my son went missing in a remote area of the desert, I and my family asked the police department to go out into that desert on day one to search for him because it was unusual for Daniel to not call anyone after six hours. Instead, that department relied not on the family's thoughts and knowledge of my son, but on the knowledge and opinions of Daniel's co-workers to base their actions on, rather go searching or not. It was evident when the police department's reason that they decided not to search was that they felt that Daniel is a grown man and that if he wanted to disappear, he can. There was a quick assumption and judgment based on an uncompleted investigation of what happened and why.

This petition has transformed and added causes from fighting against the slow movement in my son's case by the police department to asking for a change in the way missing person cases are handled, to including the push for the FBI to take over my son's case. What I need now is for the department that made it clear that I can't have faith in them to move out of the way by bringing in an outside investigation from another department. After nine months of begging this police department to look into the possibility of criminality in my son's disappearance and seeing their refusal to do so, there is only one action that I have; that action is to demand that the FBI take a serious look into the case. It is time that I ask you all to have my back once again by signing this petition, making calls, and sending out letters to that department with this demand. There's no way that I can have confidence that this department at this point will handle my son's case fairly; they haven't in over nine months, what makes me think that they will now? 

My son Daniel is a brilliant man who has dreams and aspirations that will no doubt make a great addition to what makes this country great. His plans were to start his own company one day, travel abroad to learn about other cultures, get into several investments, and become a millionaire before the age of thirty. 

Daniel is a breathing, alive human being who should get the best treatment that he deserves. My son is more than a nickel search that the police department spent on his case, he deserves the same attention and money spent that the police department would spend on a missing officer, and or their child. There's no doubt that a situation involving a police officer mirroring this case would be handled with the attention that would be carried on every major news network for weeks until he is found and what happened to him. There is no doubt that thousands, if not millions of taxpayers dollars would have been utilized to make sure that answers are received. I know that there would be constant contact with the family of that officer; every department in this country would have representatives out in that desert combing the area. Is my son less than this officer in their eyes? I've seen just last year many law enforcement departments go out spending thousands of dollars a day looking for a murderer who killed a young lady. There was easily the involvement of the FBI and other major departments helping in the search. 

I am dependent on my own money, and also the money of people like you who donate to my cause. They are the champions who have helped keep me here in Arizona with my boots on the ground, the equipment that I needed to properly conduct my searches, the ability to follow leads, and the material needed to spread awareness and perform my investigation and forensic work. 

I have started my own searches and not once have my searches been aided by law enforcement outside of the two times that I invited them out by letter to Chief Larry Hall to do a specific job which one of those times, they came out empty-handed.

Some may excuse this department for not having the funding. I beg to differ in that assessment. On the front page of my website, I have a permanent invite for Law Enforcement to come out to help in my searches; they decline. They took funding that could have been used in locating my son and hired an accident reconstructionist after an accident re-constructionist, my accident re-constructionist gave them physical evidence that didn't agree with their assessment of the crash site. 

To date, I have not received any indication that this department is planning to look further into what happened to my son. They have only shown me that they are going to double down on a theory that they had before hearing from my PI, and after they saw a need to hire their own PI to bolster their theory. Again, I have no confidence that this department would be fair in finding out what happened to my son. They have proved to me already that they are willing to do anything to make sure that their first theory stick. I need you to pass this petition to everyone that you can. I need you to stand in unity with me. Where there's unity, there is strength. Every signature in a voice, it's a person, it's a number, it's a demand; please join us in making the possible happen. It is possible that we can get what we want. Everyone who came to my aid has a shared desire to see me and my family get the answers that we deserve, to have my son treated with dignity and respect, and to get the justice that my son Geologist Daniel Cornelius Robinson deserves. 

There is no Father in my mind, no good Father who can simply watch injustice happen to his family, and his child and walk away. I am not walking away, I am fighting. I am standing up, I am demanding, and I am asking you to be an ally in everything that I'm doing to make sure that I get answers; that I bring my son back home to his mother, his siblings, his grandparents, his cousins, and friends.
