Wicker Park man tortured, killed at least 6 kittens since May, officials say: ‘Kill that one, get a replacement. Kill that one, get a replacement.’

Thomas Martel, 22, turned himself into police on Monday after a 29-year-old woman filed a complaint related to animal cruelty.

Chicago police say Martel drowned and squeezed two cats to death. A third cat died by mutilation while in his care.

Officers found a kitten in a plastic bag at Martel's apartment located in the 1500 block of North Wicker Park Avenue. The woman who reported him said the cat had been microwaved. 

Each of the kittens he killed were named Shelly.

He is out on bond only having to wear an ankel bracelet. WE NEED JUSTICE FOR THOSE KITTENS. This behavior is EXTREMELY common before killing humans. HE NEEDS TO BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE. 

Please sign this petition to make sure that people who torture and kill innocent animals get prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. This is disgusting inhumane behavior and is probably still happening today with his ankle monitor on. 

When I find out the court date we will all be there with this petition to demand harsher punishment for this sick sadistic behavior. I will post an update here with the court date and location. If you can make it to the date that would be amazing!
