This means our names are now a permanent part of the public record—they cannot say they didn't hear us! 🗓️ Important Dates & Coverage • Petition Extension: The petition will remain open until April 30th. Let’s use these final days to gather as much support as possible! • WTWO News Segment: Tomorrow, Thursday, April 23rd, Tracy (Chase’s mother) will be featured on WTWO. • Air Times: 5:00 PM, 6:00 PM, and 11:00 PM. • Friday: It will air again Friday morning and potentially at noon. • Online: The story will be on the WTWO website tomorrow. Let’s continue to support Tracy and her family during this difficult time. 👟 A Special Shout-Out to Our Youth A massive thank you to the school teens who have been our "boots on the ground." Your hard work passing out fliers and helping neighbors scan QR codes is exactly why we reached 2,300 signatures so quickly. You are leading the way for a safer future. 🛣️ The Resolution: Getting SR 163 on the Books My goal remains clear: I will consider this journey accomplished only when we have a firm future date set for road construction. To get there, we need SR 163 added to the state’s planning books (the STIP) for the next fiscal year. Since this is a State Road, we need Parke and Vermillion Counties to formally sponsor our request to INDOT. How the "Vote" Works: • The County Commissioners from both counties must vote to approve a formal resolution supporting these safety improvements. • Once that happens, INDOT adds the project to their multi-year plan. • We are targeting the June meetings for the final push before the new state fiscal cycle begins in July.
