I want to share a critical update with everyone following Chad’s case. I recently filed a Pennsylvania Right-to-Know Law request asking for copies of Chad’s interrogation records, including reports, interview notes, summaries, audio/video, and Miranda forms. These documents are essential for transparency and understanding exactly how his case was handled. On November 26, 2025, the Pennsylvania State Police denied the request in full. They claimed the interrogation file is “investigative information” and contains identifying details such as “victim information” and personal data, which they said makes the entire report exempt from release. (PSP Response pages 2–3) Here’s the problem: They can legally release these records with redactions. They simply chose not to. Under Pennsylvania’s Right-to-Know Law, agencies are required to provide the parts of a record that can be released once protected details are removed. Sensitive information such as names, birthdates, addresses, or victim data can be blacked out while still giving access to the rest of the report. Agencies do this every single day. But in Chad’s case, despite the investigation being completely closed since 2017, the PSP did not attempt to redact anything. They withheld the entire interrogation file instead of providing non-exempt portions, even though nothing in the law prevents them from releasing the rest of the document once personal details are removed. Their response also stated they could not locate any audio or video recordings, any written statements, interview notes, or Miranda forms “as described,” which raises even more concerning questions about the handling of Chad’s interrogation. This refusal only strengthens the need for full review and accountability. When a case is closed and fully adjudicated, transparency should be the norm, not secrecy. The fact that the PSP chose not to release even a redacted version of the interrogation file is troubling and leaves serious doubts about what occurred during the investigation. I will be filing an appeal and continuing to push for every record Chad is legally entitled to. Thank you to everyone who continues to stand with him, share his story, and fight for the truth. Our family is beyond grateful for your support.
