Justice for Bulletinman Jeff Weinhaus: Reopen the Case and Expose Suppressed Evidence

Justice for Bulletinman Jeff Weinhaus: Reopen the Case and Expose Suppressed Evidence
The Issue
Watch The SILENCING OF BULLETINMAN Documentary on Youtube
Petition Summary
For decades, Missouri activist and citizen journalist Jeff Weinhaus exposed police and government corruption in the Ozarks. In 2012, he was shot four times by a Missouri State Highway Patrol sergeant during a staged encounter. Despite audio evidence and federal agent statements contradicting police claims, Jeff was convicted and sentenced to 30 years in prison. Critical evidence about the officer’s misconduct and psychological unfitness was withheld from the defense. We are calling for an independent review, full disclosure of suppressed evidence, and justice for Jeff Weinhaus.
The receipts are public.

The Story
For decades, Jeff Weinhaus was a relentless activist and citizen journalist exposing police and government corruption in rural Missouri.
Long before social media made “cop-watching” common, Jeff published underground newsletters, confronted officials at public meetings, and later used YouTube to document misconduct ignored by traditional media. His work made him a persistent thorn in the side of local law enforcement.
In 2012, Jeff’s activism—and his life—reached a breaking point.
After law enforcement seized his equipment, Jeff was summoned to a remote gas station under the promise that it would be returned. Within seconds of stepping out of his vehicle, he was shot four times by Missouri State Highway Patrol Sgt. Henry Folsom.
Police claimed Jeff drew a weapon.
Jeff survived—and the recording device he was wearing told a different story, one corroborated by statements from FBI agents present at the scene. Despite this, Jeff was charged, convicted, and sentenced to 30 years in prison.
Years later, deeply troubling facts came to light:
- Sgt. Folsom was fired shortly after Jeff’s trial for failing a mandatory drug test
- He concealed a PTSD diagnosis and psychiatric medication use, facts he denied under oath
- Internal investigations found him unfit for duty and prone to mistaking harmless objects for weapons
- None of this information was disclosed to Jeff’s defense team
Even more alarming, the Missouri Attorney General’s Office—then led by Josh Hawley—represented the state both in Jeff’s appeals and in Folsom’s wrongful termination lawsuit, despite the obvious conflict of interest.
Since then:
- Another conviction involving Sgt. Folsom has been overturned due to fabricated evidence
- Under oath, Folsom testified that he was pressured by superiors to proceed with the encounter that led to Jeff’s shooting
- Jeff has endured retaliation, violence, and abuse while incarcerated for continuing to pursue the truth
This case is overflowing with documented misconduct, suppressed evidence, and institutional failure, yet it has been largely ignored by mainstream media.
It raises a haunting question:
Was Jeff Weinhaus a dangerous agitator — or a whistleblower silenced for exposing corruption?
This is the story of two men on a collision course:
one willing to die for freedom,
and another willing to kill for it.
What We Are Demanding
We call on the State of Missouri and appropriate federal authorities to:
- Immediately reopen and independently review the conviction of Jeff Weinhaus
- Release all suppressed, sealed, or undisclosed evidence related to Sgt. Henry Folsom
- Investigate prosecutorial misconduct and conflicts of interest in Jeff’s case
- Grant Jeff Weinhaus a new trial or immediate relief based on Brady violations and newly revealed evidence
- Ensure Jeff’s safety and protection from retaliation while incarcerated
Why This Matters
If evidence can be hidden, witnesses discredited, and whistleblowers imprisoned to protect those in power, no citizen is safe.
Justice delayed is justice denied—but justice exposed can still be justice restored. Please sign and share this petition.
Help bring national attention to the case of Justice for Jeff Weinhaus: Reopen the Case and Expose Suppressed Evidence and demand accountability, transparency, and justice—before this story is erased forever.
