Buddy the cat was on his porch in the Frankfurt neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania the morning of March 26th, 2022. Two individuals, one 17 years old and one 12 years old intentionally encouraged their two dogs to attack Buddy. As a result of the attack, buddy is in critical condition.

As a longtime lover of all animals, this disgusts me. Not only for poor Buddy having to go through being attacked and the trauma that follows; but for the ordeal the two dogs will have to go through due to the petty actions of the two individuals who encouraged them to attack. Not to mention the trauma that anyone who witnessed this attack was subjected to and that Buddy's owners will go through as a result of this.

These individuals are old enough to know what they were doing was sick and more importantly; illegal. As a result of their knowledge due to their age; the fact that they encouraged the dogs to keep attacking by saying "good boy" during the attack and the fact that individuals who do things like this usually move onto bigger and more severe crimes; I feel they should be tried as adults for encouraging this grotesque attack and their parents should have to pay all of Buddy's medical bills.

The Pennsylvania Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals can provide input to law enforcement regarding trying them as adults; if we as a society stand up for Buddy and do what is right. 

Please send your signature and send a message to anyone that considers cruelty to animals entertaining or funny; like the individuals who encouraged this attack that the penalties will be severe so that innocent animals like Buddy, Buddy's owners and the dogs who were encouraged by their owners do not have to needlessly suffer.
