The Issue

🐾 A Soul Betrayed. A System That Looks Away.

Bongo, an innocent Indie dog, was once adopted into what seemed like a loving home in Bengaluru — cared for, trusted, and treated like family.

But that same family betrayed him, abandoned him, and shut doors on his rescuer — even resorting to threats when help was offered.

An FIR has been filed under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act and relevant IPC sections, yet there has been no action, no update, and no support from the authorities.

The accused continues to roam free, while Bongo remains missing and unheard.

This is not just about one dog — it’s about the systemic apathy toward animal cruelty in India. When authorities ignore such acts, it sends a chilling message: that cruelty has no consequence.

“I have spent sleepless nights thinking about Bongo. I’ve done everything I could — filed an FIR, reached out to officials, pleaded for help — yet nothing moves.

It breaks me to see how little life means when it belongs to an animal.

I’m heartbroken, mentally exhausted, and losing faith in a system that refuses to act.”

— Swarnima, Bongo’s Rescuer

💔 What Happened to Bongo

Bongo was rescued as a 3–4 month-old puppy after a road accident — fragile, motherless, and alone.
After recovery at Alai Shelter, he was adopted by a family in JP Nagar, Bengaluru, where he lived for four years.
In 2024, the family contacted his rescuer, saying they wanted to give Bongo up. She agreed to take him back — no questions asked.
On the day of the supposed return, they claimed a “change of heart” — then blocked all contact.
Months later, they admitted to abandoning Bongo on August 1st, somewhere around JP Nagar 9th Phase / Royal County Road — a dog who had never lived a single day on the streets.

How can anyone do this to a creature who trusted them completely?

⚖️ Why This Petition Matters

Every single day across India, countless Indie dogs are abused, abandoned, or run over, their suffering dismissed as “stray issues.”

People adopt animals for convenience — and discard them when life changes.

Yes, laws exist, but enforcement fails. When FIRs are filed and no action follows, it tells every abuser that it’s safe to be cruel.

By signing this petition, you demand:

Immediate accountability from the Bengaluru Police and DCP South to act on Bongo’s FIR.
Swift investigation and justice for those responsible for his abandonment.
Public awareness that abandoning or abusing a pet is a criminal offense, not a “personal decision.”

🐶 Help Us Bring Bongo Home

Bongo was last known to be abandoned near JP Nagar 9th Phase, Royal County Road.

He is a meek, gentle, and trusting Indie who does not know how to survive on the streets.

If you are in or around that area, please help us look for him.

Join the search group below and be part of the mission to bring him home safely.

Because justice for Bongo is justice for every animal who deserves love and safety.

That compassion must translate into action.

Because justice for Bongo is justice for every voiceless soul. 💔
