On May 27, 2024, Bethelhem Lemma was on a boat with a man and they were out on Lake Washington.  Reportedly, at around 10:00 p.m, she somehow fell into the water.  The driver of the boat has reported to law enforcement that she “jumped”, and has also admitted to other individuals that she “fell”.  There were no other witnesses to the incident.  Despite multiple search efforts, she has not been found. 

The driver of the boat has been charged with BUI, and has been released on bail.  The Seattle Police Department is conducting the missing person’s investigation. 

The family of Bethelhelm Lemma is suffering greatly at the loss of their family member.  They want to do everything and anything to find out answers as to what happened and are trying to ensure justice for Bethelhelm.  

This Petition is to get the support of the community on behalf of our beloved family member and to urge law enforcement and the prosecuting attorney’s office to continue to investigate this matter.  Our community is united in its solidarity and commitment to ensure that justice is obtained for Bethelhelm Lemma.
