On July 30th, Callahan Emmer left his 2 year old black lab in a hot car for 18+ hours. He left him in a parking lot on a 80 degree day. The dogs name was Artemis. He was loved by many, enjoyed getting dirty and going for swims in Lake Superior. Previous to this horrific crime, Callahan Emmer was in jail for SA Crimes, Child Pornography, and ETC. When he was arrested in July 2023 a sweet young couple had taken in Artemis and fell completely in love. They never asked Cal to repay them for all the vet bills, food, and care. Once Cal was released in June 2024, he claimed Artemis back on July 21st 2024. Shortly after, Artemis gained his wings🕊️.  After being left in a hot car on an 80 degree day for 18+ hours, he was in complete distress. Callahan returned to the car and decided to take horrific matters into his own hands. Instead of bringing that poor puppy to the vet ( like anyone else would). He took his life with his bare hands. Callahan strangled Artemis until he was no longer with us. He has admitted to his crimes when all was first revealed. Now that is it taken to social media, he is denying everything. Thankfully, he has shown us where Artemis is buried. Ashland PD has been notified but we are waiting for future investigation.
