Who would have known that day was going to be the last day I was going to get to see my baby girl. Angelique Nevaeh Tenorio, 17 was a victim of a hit and run accident around 330am on 10/30/2022. According to the police and news media a suspected drunk driver aged 17 Asher Frank was driving with his hood up when he struck my daughter, who got stuck under the 2021 Ford Mustang he was driving. He proceeded to drag her for more than 400 feet. Meanwhile she was screaming, he didn’t hesitate to stop, instead he fled. While doing so he also struck two other victims who were injured. Cops were able to locate Frank who attempted to evade police and resisted arrest.

As a Juvenile, his maximum sentence 2 years. I created this petition because I feel that Frank be charged as an adult. Personally, I don’t care how drunk anyone might be. The horrendous crimes that happened would have been a sobering effect. Anyone else hopefully would have got out to see if everyone was ok.

In this case, that didn’t happen. There has been little attention on the story, and I want to make sure my baby girl gets the Justice she deserves

Angelique was so proud that Saturday because she finally complete her Police Officer costume when we went to the mall that day to pick out some boots. Angelique just started working a month prior to this night. She also bought her first pair of Jordan’s with her own check. She was never able to even wear them I was a teenage mother, throughout the years, I’ve had very little support. We struggled a lot and Angelique had to struggle with me. She grew to be so humble and thankful for the little bit she had growing up.

She was a bright and uplifting spirit who always wanted to make the world better, She was so kind and non-judgmental. She always complimented everyone to try and make them feel better about themselves. She also carried a lot of weight of the pain that a lot of teenagers go through. .

She was a junior in high school and was currently gaining dual credits for CNM Community college. By the time she would graduate her senior year. She was going to open up her own eyelash extension business. Thanks to the opportunities we came across. She wanted to be a nurse when she grew up and she would have been perfect at it. I remember how much of a mother hen Angelique was when I had her baby brother. She would always help me with him, even get up in the morning to make them breakfast. That’s of course after she wanted to leave Izaiah at the hospital because I made a bad decision and let her use her brothers stroller before he was born. Lol she was soooo upset that day when I put Izaiah’s car seat on the stroller, because that was her stroller. I remember asking her ‘What are we supposed to do, leave Izaiah here?’ she just says ‘yeahhhh’ as she started calming down. Lol She used to love hearing that story when she got older. Lol

Angelique already had her whole life planned out and when she was going to have a baby.

I remember telling Angelique on her 16th birthday

'I'm so proud of you my love, now all you have to do is graduate from High School and you will have officially broken the cycle of teenage pregnancy.'  I didn't even get a chance to celebrate that with my love

My daughter only wanted to go out and have fun. She deserved it. She didn’t go out much because of work and school. However, she decided to go out that Saturday night. Now, I’m lost without my other half. She wasn’t only my daughter, she was my best friend, my ride or die, my little soldier.

I’m asking for as many signatures possible so I can take this to court. I believe Frank needs to be charged as an adult in this case.

We have yet to see the full reports and given very little to no information. Meanwhile, they’re rushing the whole process so they can sentence him.

Thank you for your time

Rena Tenorio
