After two years of poor defense and evidence that was never properly used. Our Judicial System, which is supposed to be fair, left Angel Rivas Tellez (who was 17 years old at the time) completely abandoned. A minor with autism. A kid who the school system failed.

A kid who endured relentless bullying, racial and gender hate, and discrimination for being autistic. That kid was sentenced to 38 years in prison, plus 4 years of probation. When he finally gets out, he will owe $180,000 in compensation.

As if life had not been cruelled enough, the Justice System added insult to injury by literally eliminating any and all hope he could ever have.
